Boat Trip To The Falls
Cruise the Victoria Nile from Paraa up to the base of the falls, past hippos, crocodiles and elephants that gather along the banks to drink.
At Murchison Falls, the entire Victoria Nile is squeezed through a gorge just seven metres wide before dropping forty-three metres in a churn of white water. It is one of the most dramatic river spectacles in Africa, and the centrepiece of Uganda’s largest national park.
Below the falls, the Nile widens into calm water thick with hippos and crocodiles, navigated by boat up to the base of the falls themselves. North of the river, open savannah holds elephant, giraffe and lion, while the Budongo Forest to the south shelters chimpanzees.
